Purpose and liability
This site provides general information about the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027. Astronomical predictions are computed with care and validated against reference sources, but they remain predictions with documented limits of accuracy (see sources and methods). Practical travel information is given for guidance and must be checked with the relevant operators and authorities. Observing the Sun is dangerous without appropriate protection: follow the safety guide.
