A first version of Eclipse in Tunisia 2027 is now available, a little over nine months before the total solar eclipse of Monday 2 August 2027.
It includes:
- an interactive map of the path of totality over Tunisia, with its limits, the central line and the duration of totality;
- a calculator giving the times of the eclipse for any town or coordinates, with an animated simulation;
- an observation guide focused on eye safety;
- sheets for the main destinations and climate statistics at the time of the eclipse.
All predictions are computed from NASA’s Besselian elements and have been checked against NASA’s published path and an independent astronomy library. The methods and limitations are described on the sources and methods page.
The site will be updated as the eclipse approaches, in particular with weather forecasts when they become meaningful, a few days before the event.
